Nazca Lines - In 1930 while flying over the Nazca desert geometric shapes with simple figures of lizards, llamas, fish, monkeys, sharks and hummingbirds could be seen etched in the desert below. The lines by removing the red pepples that cover the desert revealing the white sand below. The shapes cover an area over 190 sq mi with the largest over 660ft (200m) across. Some anthropologists believe that the lines were created for the Gods of the Nazca to see from above others believe the formed sacred paths but no one is sure why they were created. In 1994 they were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a trip to Nazca and then fly over these unique and mysterious artwork.
